Victoria will stage the climax to the Sultana Bran Hockey One League 2022 Season this weekend as the seven-round tournament reaches its climax.

The top four women’s and men’s teams will converge on Bendigo to determine this year’s Hockey One champions. The tournament has seen healthy crowds, while it has also been a visible presence on social media with high quality footage, clips and a dedicated digital show.

The women’s semi-finals feature HC Melbourne (1st) against Brisbane Blaze (4th) in a repeat of the inaugural women’s Grand Final. NSW Pride (2nd) take on the Perth Thundersticks (3rd).

In the men’s semi finals, Brisbane Blaze (1st) take on NSW Pride (4th) in a mouth watering encounter between the two teams who battled it out in the first Grand Final in 2019. Canberra Chill (2nd) and the Perth Thundersticks (3rd) will then go head-to-head.

Sultana Bran Hockey One League general manager Andy Crook said Bendigo and the Central Victoria region were in for a real treat.

“Already this season the Hockey One League has captivated audiences and broken attendance and broadcast records,” said Crook.

“The hockey on display has been world class and we cannot wait to bring the best teams of this season to Bendigo to vie for the tag of being crowned Hockey One League 2022 Champions.”

“This is an exciting and rare occasion for everyone in the Bendigo region to witness world class hockey live on their doorstep.
